So Ubisoft announced a new (?) thing, Trackmania Turbo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3piye62BYf4

Not much information available, but this game incorporates reworked versions of Stadium, Valley, Canyon and a new environment - Lagoon.

So is this an update to stadium, canyon and valley + lagoon(+ multienvironment support)? That would be amazing.

Loving the new look as well. Way more colourful and lively.

They could have called it TrackMania Turbo 2 or sth at least, when I saw the thread I thought it's about the original TrackMania Turbo.

I was surprised when i saw it. I guest Maniaplanet is going to be dropped really hard...

Though Lagoon looks like fzero in some places (or MK8)

Seems nice and all but let's see...

I don't think i plan to buy this just because Ubisoft.

They didn't even bother to reply to me for the questions i asked so now i think they can just fuck off, i don't want to give them any more money.

At 7:59 the car passes through a magnet sign, onto a grid-style track which apparently keeps the car stuck to it (same as 5:40 onwards but there it's less obvious what the machanism is).

It looks kind of dull but I guess Alpine looks dull too.

Hmmpffppf. And there I thought that Maniaplanet would be the 'last' game to which everything would be added.

Also, red turbo's in Stadium? ;)

I want to be enthousiastic, but I just cannot understand some of the moves Nadeo/Ubisoft made during the past five years. It looks nice, though. :)

edit: it looks a bit like island with more grip. or mario kart with amazing graphics with that kind of start. ;)

edit2: I notice that the game measures your 'drift distance'. It's much arcade-style, even for Trackmania.

edit3: wow, those magnetic-like roads that make you drive upside down. Seems like the kind of blocks in TMU that would be in the game, but that you would only use every now and then (like the screwdriver in Alpine and the gigantic tarmac climbs in Island). ^^ Somehow it doesn't feel right. Like they are trying too hard. Maybe I'm cynical.

Hey guys :D

I'm not so sure what to think about this move from Nadeo (or should i say Ubisoft because $$?^^) but it was quite a dumb move.

Nadeo made it the 2nd time, after they told us first, that TMUF would be the ultimate platform for future TM additions and later that MP would be the ultimate platform where everything can be added in no time.

It's really hard to keep on believing in what these guys are telling us.

Also the point about splitting the community again is good! Another way of sentencing the older TM games to death...
