 Re: Trackmania Turbo
doesn't make much sense to me either. Quote: since it was decided to put only one external camera ah ok, that's understandable. wait no it isn't, you didn't explain the decision at all! there's plenty of racing games on consoles with more than one external camera, it takes almost no effort to add into the game, and is an essential feature from all of the previous installments. the only effect not adding it into the game has, is to keep old players from buying it!

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
I also like some of the pro gaming tips from the loading screens "Pro tip: Sponsor yourself by playing with a fast food bucket on your head" Also, the 4th track of the game already consists of purely a series of hairpins. Great! I've campaigned for that for years and if I had built the campaign it would have been like that too. Or maybe in the 1st track

Or maybe in the 1st track Hehe yeah and many tracks later in the campaign feel way too easy for their position like the overall Multilap tracks. I don't even get why they decided to put multilaps in.. EDIT: Haha now ESL is trying to get on the TMT boat aswell.. I highly doubt they can find many players on consoles though..

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
apparently Valley is in Russia now. Seems legit - slow cars that don't handle well, lots of dirt, driving on the wrong side of the road, scraping guardrails and crashes...

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
Not much, people were uninterested in TM2 competitions and so things moved back to TMU, but there hasn't been an ET tournament there either for a while now.

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
Welcome back Phaeton.
Yeah well ESL started to focus on Tm2 Stadium after Canyon was getting inactive shortly after Release and ET tried to do some cups there and on Valley but there weren't really many teams and stuff to have a interesting competition so they closed the TM2 Section and went back to TMUF for a while until the last UL (?) after which they also stopped doing leagues since there weren't enough admins to organize stuff and many people left the game for good anyway.
So yeah both tmuf and tm2 except stadium are pretty dead.

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
So i just found out that there is a trial version of TmT, where you can play Canyon offline and online an hour. You can find it in the Uplay store. And well i kinda like it... i guess... The only bad think are those missing Dedi-Records... I dont need a fancy name or fancy Carmodels or those names in the campaign. Or did i forgot something? :S

- missing camera options ( cam 1 for more overview and cam 7 for screenshottaking as example) - no leaderboards and downloadable replays from other players ingame - only hosted Nadeo servers which are inactive when nobody is on them. - not being able to name tracks And those are just the points i had in mind

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
something like dedimania is not possible because everythign is hosted by Nadeo. Also no team mode or competitions pretty much.

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
My god, I just don't understand Nadeo... They had so much good going on, and they decided to just throw it all away. It's a shame. I would've never thought I'd say it, and I hate to say it, but I'm not going to buy the game. You can find me playing Geoguessr these days...

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
and me in Diablo 3 already deleted TMT again from my harddrive. And this is something i never did with a TM game before. I usually keep them installed but this thing is not worth the space... I guess i wait for Maniaplanet 4.0 and Lagoon Release for it. I'm really looking forward for the tracks people can make without the 8500 copper limit.

 Re: Trackmania Turbo
I'm still playing it, it's fun to go through the campaign and try to get top times on the maps, which are really quite well designed so far. But besides that there's not too much use for this game.
