--begin update
ET has closed. The links below won't work.
--end update

The Electronic Tournaments websites are closing, very soon.

ET hosted many of TMU/TMN/TMS/TMO's most famous tournaments, such as UL, SL, LE, STC, FET, and GC.

The site leader has provided a download of many of the maps up to 2012, as InsosChallenges.rar.

Some other maps can be downloaded from ET's map archive. There will be some overlap with Inso's archive, but it still doesn't include all maps, e.g. UL10-11, SL8, FET8-9, GC12, STC9-12, TWL1-2, VTC1, TFET2 are missing and I don't know what else. HAL is listed twice so maybe there's a mappack missing there too? I've attached a file with all the mappack URLs from that page. If you're on a system with wget (most Linux/Unix systems at least, no idea about Windows), you can
wget -i ET.closing.maparchive.URLs.txt
to download all the mappacks.

There isn't much time left if you want to save
- maps
- league/competition/match/team results + approximate dates
- match page discussions
- forum discussions
- teams' website URLs
- organise a way to keep in touch with other league-oriented drivers

Copied from http://www.et-generation.com/forum/view ... 889#p91889

About announcing meet-ups or competitions, here's a list off the top of my head of possible places:

IRC quakenet #et.tm
ET sites resurrected?

ESL
mania-actu

Copper Millions? Closed

tm-forum
TMX
dedimania

facebook

team websites/forums

TMU main menu

I guess of these facebook is the most viable? Is there an existing group?

TMU was released to retail in most territories on 2007 February 23rd I think so the weekend following (25th/26th) is maybe a good time to have an ET reunion/anniversary celebration, unless folk want to do it on a league night xD . I was vaguely planning a CMC 10-year anniversary about that time.

There's no hope of getting those websites back. :( I can contact some (former?) dr players if something massive is going to be planned.

Just to confirm, ET has closed. The sites are reporting that the domain names have expired, presumably with the hoster as a WHOIS lookup reports they don't expire until 4th October 2017 (et-generation.com) and 20th January 2018 (et-leagues.com).

Some stuff may have been archived at http://archive.org/.

The closing also means the above links for map downloads no longer work. I'll sort something out in the near future, hopefully a more complete archive.

DFF or UMF (the two finnish teams) neither have forums anymore either but if someone is interested in holding a meetup of some sort I can contact wormi who can contact more people.

I've made an updated version of the ET map archive:
http://lichtgrijs.com/files/ET_Map_Archive_2019.zip

It includes all the TMU stuff now, but not the missing STCs, TWL1-2, VTC1 or TFET2.

Post subject:  Re: Electronic Tournaments closing

I also collected another archive of non-ET league maps: http://lichtgrijs.com/files/Zooz_TM_lea ... rchive.zip
It includes a bunch of Des Bois Competitions seasons, the Relay Race Cup tracks, the envmixing Revelation Skirmish (including unused spare maps), some very old stuff like some TMS Coast GP maps and some TMNESWC Russian Team League maps that we played in with CDD, the TMN Verizon tournament that was the first "pro" TM competition, and ULR. Many things are probably incomplete, this is just all the stuff I found when looking through my old files. Some things I don't even remember what it is.

Nice one Zooz. 8)

TMX also has an Electronic Tournaments user with track packs of a lot of the ET leagues.
