Post [Report] AC/DC Live in Udine 19/05/2010
first of all some numbers: sold out in a couple of days, about 45.000 people, half of it non-italian, 8.000 from udine (which has about 80/90.000 people)

so...I'm back from hell :D
it was AWESOME
I arrived at the stadium at 9.30 in the morning...I managed to sit down for a while and have lunch and then some crazy dudes started queuing at 12.30 with gates opening at 16.30...that's 4 hours standing on and waiting...
the meaning of it was to get into the "pit", the first half of the football field right in front of the stage...and I got there :D
In this video you can see how close I was: (I didn't shoot it but I was around there somewhere)
we got in at 17.00 and we finally sit down but 17.45 crazy people started to get up and then everyone had to do that in order not to loose our position xD
at 19.30 guests started playing...first Maurizio Solieri (Vasco Rossi's guitarist) and then "Le vibrazioni" (an italian group, not very rocky, who got owned with shouting, middle fingers and the end of it the drummer crashed the drums and thrown one drumstick in the air, it landed quite close to me I think 30cm or so)

it started at 21.30
lights off
sound of a train
on the big screens there was an introductive video showing a train going out of control with evil-Angus managing to stop it
big screen opens
there it was, the rock n roll train! what an opening!
AC/DC started playing, people got crazy...the first 30 seconds of the song were unbelievable everyone was jumping, shouting, singing and giving everything they got...half of the first song and we were devastated already :D
after the first song Brian spoke some italian: "Come stai uuuudine?", appreciated by everyone, he also thanked a lot between songs: "grazie"

the tracklist was the following:
Rock N’ Roll TRain
Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be
Back in Black
Big Jack
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Shot Down in Flames
Black Ice
The Jack
Hells Bells
Shoot to Thrill
War Machine
High Voltage
You Shook me All Night Long
Whole Lotta Rosie
Let There be Rock
Highway to Hell
For Those about to Rock

Back in black, Thunderstruck, Hell's Bells, You shook me all night long were, of course, some of the bests with everyone singing, shouting and getting crazy, even though I still think the opening with rock n roll train was pure madness :D
Shoot to thrill was also awesome (I hope you've seen Iron Man 2 xD)
War machine is from the black ice album and I noticed it's not really famous but it was very powerful
and then of course we had the Bon Scott classics: whole lotta rosie, TNT, hell ain't a bad place to be, Dirty deeds, The Jack (with Angus stripping ^^) and high voltage were all great
Let there be rock was terrific (damn I'm running out of adjective), with great Angus playing solo making us cheering and shouting at every note
After let there be rock Brian saluted us ("Buona notte udine") and after about one minute break they came back, with angus coming out from under the stage, with red-fire-like effects starting highway to hell!
Right after that there was the last song: for those about to rock we salute you! with cannons firing and AC/DC saluting 45.000 fans coming from all over the planet
Brian ended the show with a blue italian football t-shirt made by "AC/DC Italia", shouting "Forza Italia!", of course the stadium exploded.
After that we also had some non-AC/DC-related fireworks wich were very appreciated

Then It was time to go home and to get some rest...It was a very intense day, one I probably won't forget :)
I hope you enjoyed the report, I tried to keep it as much readable as possible

you can find some live video from yesterday here:

Yeah we have the TT, but that's unique for Assen because of the circuit... I was thinking about music shows :P
